"2 KILLED IN NSW SYDNEY

"Thursday:

"Pilot-Officer Gilbert Francis Daw, 22, formerly of Wongan Hill, WA, and Flight-Sgt Leonard Breen, 32, formerly of West Preston, Victoria, were killed when an aircraft crashed during a training flight in NSW on Tuesday.

"At the time of the mishap the aircraft was flying through heavy cloud and rain. "It broke formation before the crash. The cause of the accident is obscure.

"Flight-Sgt Breen was born at Kew, Victoria, and was living at West Preston when he enlisted in March, 1938."
